• Quarter Beef: ~220-240 lbs hanging weight, $8.29/lb

• Half Beef: ~450 lbs hanging weight, $7.79/lb

• Half of half Beef: ~230 lbs hanging weight, $8.29/lb

Final cost = hanging weight × price per lb

Most families get 40–60% of hanging weight in packaged meat.

Example: 450 lb half cow → ~250 lbs of steaks, roasts, and ground beef.
